3 cups all purpose flour
1cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup Crisco
1 cupé creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 Tbsp milk

Sift dry ingredients together, cut crisco and peanut butter in dry ingredients until it resembles coarse meal. Blend in syrup and milk. Divide dough into rolls wrap in wax paper, chill well. Slice roll onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Put a dollop of peanut butter in the middle of the slice, cover with another slice and crimp edges with a fork to seal.
Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes till edges are lightly browned. Remove from oven, cool for 1 minute before removing to wire rack to cool.
Makes 4 dozen. IMPORTANT: Store in an airtight
( tupperware) container
