1 lb brown sugar (yes, 1 lb.)
⅔ c butter, melted
3 c flour
3 eggs
2½ t baking powder
½ t salt
1½ t vanilla
1 c nuts of your choice
1 lb orange slice candy cut in 1/4's.
Directions:

In large saucepan, pour melted butter over brown sugar and heat to dissolve.

Remove from heat and let cool.

Add eggs one at a time.

Add vanilla.

Sift dry ingredients, add to liquid ingredients a little at a time.

Add nuts and orange slices.

Batter will be stiff.

Bar cookies: Spray 9x13 pan with PAM and add batter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

Drop cookies: Use a teaspoon to drop cookies 2 inches apart on parchment paper
lined cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 9-10 minutes until lightly
browned around the edges.

Large cookies: Use cupcake scoop and bake 12 minutes.

I double the recipe and freeze the extras. They do not last long. I find the orange slices at Walmart.
