½ cup light corn syrup
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup dry-roasted peanuts
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1½ teaspoons baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
In a 2 quart microwave safe dish, combine corn syrup and sugar. Microwave on high 4 minutes. Stir is peanuts. Microwave on high 3 to 5 minutes, until light golden brown. Stir in salt, butter, and vanilla. Microwave on high 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in baking soda until mixture foams. Quickly pour onto an oiled baking sheet. Cool and break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
