2¼ cups sugar
¾ cup evaporated milk
16 large marshmallows or 1 cup marshmallow creme
¼ cup margarine
¼ tsp salt
1 package 6 oz (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

Butter sides of heavy 2 quart sauce pan

Mix sugar, evaporated milk, marshmallow, margarine and salt in sauce pan
Cook mixture over medium heat stirring constantly until it comes to a boil (the top
of the mixture will be bubbling all over)
After mixture comes to a boil cook and stir 5 minutes more (about 236
degrees)
Take off burner and mix in chocolate chips. Stir until chips are completely melted.
Stir in Vanilla and nuts.
Grease bottom of 8 inch square pan with butter. Spread fudge in pan and let cool
to become firm.
Cut fudge into squares
