1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup Crisco
1 egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp. Almond extract
˝ tsp. Baking soda
˝ tsp. Cream of tartar
˝ tap salt
2 cups flour
Sugar for rolling balls

Buttercream frosting
3 cups powdered sugar
4 Tbsp butter, softened
2 Tbsp cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond extract
Pink food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Beat powdered sugar and shortening until well blended, add egg and flavorings.

Sift dry ingredients in a separate bowl.

Gradually stir into shortening mixture. Roll into balls using cookie scoop. Roll in sugar. Flatten with a glass

Bake at 350 for 10 minutes, just slightly golden on edges.

Cool and frost as you eat them.

These are my favorite Christmas cookie, very delicate and stay crisp.
