1 cup sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 tsp cream of tartar
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350º F. In a large bowl, mix together sugar, butter and egg. Mix in vanilla.

2. Blend together flour, cream of tartar, salt and baking soda. Stir into bowl with egg mixture. It will be a thick.

3. Roll out on a floured board and using cookie cutters, cut into shapes. Decorate with colored baking sugar.

4. Bake 8 minutes until just golden.
