1 cup of unsalted butter, softened
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1/2 to 1-1/2 teaspoons of almond extract-adjust to your taste
1/4 teaspoons of salt
3 cups of powdered sugar
Food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, whip unsalted butter for 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy (easiest in a stand mixer).

Whip in vanilla extract, almond extract and salt

On Medium/low speed begin adding powdered sugar

Mix at high speed for 2-3 minutes until nice and creamy.

Spread on top of cookies or place frosting in a large piping bag with a large star tip to achieve a more intricate design. To pipe the swirl, start from the inside and swirl to the outside.

Makes 2 cups of frosting. I normally double the recipe.
