2 ¾ cups of all purpose flour

1 tsp. baking soda

½ tsp. baking powder

1 cup butter, softened

1 ½ cups white sugar

1 egg

1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º

In a small bowl stir together the flour, baking soda and baking powder.

In a large bowl cream together the butter and sugar until smooth, then beat in the egg and vanilla

Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.

Roll teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown in the preheated oven.

Let stand on the cookie sheet 2 minutes before cooking on a wire rack.
