1 ½ c. sugar
1 c. room temperature shortening (half butter, half oleo)
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3 ¼ c. flour
1 c. raisins
1 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Cook raisins ahead of time in the water until all water is absorbed.
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat well. Add vanilla and dry ingredients, then fold in raisins. Drop by cookie scoop into granulated sugar, and roll to completely coat cookies. Place on greased cookie sheet, (I use parchment paper instead) and bake at 350° for 11-12 minutes
