Combine:
1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
1 t. vanilla
1/2 t. water
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. + 2 T. all purpose flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
2 c. chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the butter and sugars in either a large bowl.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing until thoroughly mixed.

Add the vanilla and mix well.

Add the flour, baking soda and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.

Add in the chocolate morsels and nuts (if using), mix until evenly distributed.

Drop 1 tbsp rounds of dough on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° F for 7-9 minutes or until golden brown on the edges. Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire cooling rack to cool.
