A Candy Thermometer
1 Large bowl of popcorn
½ C Butter
1 pt Light Karo Syrup
4 C Sugar
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp vanilla




Directions:
Directions:
1. Make sure all the unpopped seeds are removed
2. In double boiler: melt butter, add syrup, sugar, salt and heat to ½ way between
soft and hard ball
3. Pour over popcorn and mix well.
4. Cool slightly and then begin to form into balls and place on waxed paper
5. You will want to butter your hands and keep a bowl of ice water close by to cool
your hands
6. Be careful because mixture can be extremely hot
