2 c. Sugar
1 c. Shortening
2 Eggs
1 c. Milk
1 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. Extract (lemon or almond)
2 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Nutmeg (optional)
5 or so c. Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 375º. Cream together sugar and shortening
Add- eggs, milk, soda, extract, baking powder, salt, nutmeg
Add enough flour to form a good dough
Roll out dough and cut with cookie cutters into desired shape.
Bake for 10 minutes or until cookie is done.
Let cool, and then decorate
