7 lbs tomatoes

2 lbs celery

1 large onion

2-3 sweet peppers

½ cup pickling salt

4 cups sugar

2 cups vinegar

¼ tsp red pepper or chili powder

2 Tbsps mustard seed

Directions:
Directions:
Chop, tomatoes, celery, onion and spread with ½ cup pickling salt.

Let stand overnight.

Drain off juice and add 4 cups sugar, 2 cups vinegar, ¼ tsp red pepper or chili powder,

2 Tbsps mustard seed.

Stir until sugar dissolves.
