Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Homemade pinto beans (we make a large pot and make burritos out of what is leftover)
16 oz. thin bacon (cut in pieces and fried); Set aside bacon but keep some grease.
American cheese slices (divide each piece in thirds)
Tortillas
Green chili (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Drain most of the liquid off the beans (keep a little for flavor)
Keep quite a bit of the bacon grease and when hot, spoon the beans into the grease, essentially frying the beans. If I have a lot of leftover beans, I do this in 2 batches.
When beans are at a good consistency, mash with a potato masher. I use a small Braun hand blender to make this process easier and the beans smoother. Add in chopped bacon, some grated cheese, and green chilis if desired. Set aside.
When ready to assemble the burritos, spread beans onto tortillas and put 2 pieces of the cheese you have sectioned. Roll tortilla and wrap in foil. Freeze.
