1 3oz package of cream cheese
¼ cup of softened butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups sifted powdered sugar

In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, butter and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add powdered sugar gradually until smooth
Spread over cooled cake
Sprinkle with chopped nuts of choice if desired

Frost tops of two 8" or 9" layer cake, cover and store in refrigerator
