Directions: |
Directions:Brown the lean beef until nice and crumbly. Add catsup, garlic clove, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer while you fix the french rolls.
Butter the rolls and sprinkle with garlic powder. You can mix the powder with the butter if you prefer. Place under the broiler until butter melted and bread is starting to brown. Remove from oven and spread meat mixture on each roll.
Depending on the meat you may place more or less on each roll, but you don't want too much or it will need to eaten with a fork and knife.
Add cheese to roll on top of meat. You choose the amount and I ofter mix the cheese for variety.
Bake in oven at 350 degrees until the cheese has melted. Do not overcook or they will get too dry. |

Notes: This recipe is easy to play with, for instance if you like it real sloppy you might add more catsup, but if so you likely need to increase the Worcestershire sauce and garlic to maintain the taste.
You can also use a loaf of french bread and slice when done cooking for serving size pieces.
This started out as something to do with beef and not make spaghetti and soon became a favorite of my children and now my grandchildren have started to ask for it.
