2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 small onion, chopped
6 cups chicken broth
20 ounces broccoli, chopped
4 ounces fine egg noodles
6 cups milk
1/2 - 3/4 pound velveeta
Pepper
2 tablespoons cornstarch

Heat large pot on the stove and melt the butter.

Once melted, sauté onion until soft.

Add chicken broth, broccoli and noodles. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer till noodles are done; stirring often.

Add milk velveeta and pepper.

Simmer on low heat until velveeta is melted; stirrring often.

Mix together cornstarch in a small amount of cold water till there are no lumps. Drizzle into the pot and stir constantly. Cook until thickened to your liking.

Grandma uses frozen broccoli.

I like using 4 cups of milk, not 6.
