Directions:
ROLLS:
Sprinkle yeast in warm water (110 to 115 degrees) to dissolve.
Mix together salt, sugar, oil, and eggs. Add milk, then yeast mixture. Add the flour.
Let rise once or twice.
Roll out to approximately 1/2" thick.
Pour about 1 cup melted butter over the dough. Sprinkle 1/2 to 1 cup brown sugar over the butter, and then sprinkle a generous sprinkling of cinnamon.

Roll up like a jelly roll, starting at the long end. Cut about 1" thick. Put in pan that has melted butter in it (put them close together.) Let rise again.

Bake in a 400 degree oven for 15 to 18 minutes.
Ice with powdered sugar icing.

ICING:
Mix melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Add hot water 1 Tbsp. at a time until the glaze reaches desired consistency.

ALTERNATE CINNABON-LIKE ICING
Stir together all ingredients. Top rolls with icing immediately after removing from oven.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Cinnamon rolls from Grandma Anders (Kathleen's mother) were legendary. A visit to her home in Wabash always included those famous cinnamon rolls. Not long after we married, I did my best to write down how she made them, although she never used a recipe. Here's what she and I came up with. If the directions seem sparse...well they are.

I added an alternate cream cheese, Cinnabon-like icing but trust me, these are the outstanding just like Grandma Anders made them.
