1 cup hot water
½ cup butter, softened
⅔ cup cocoa
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup sour milk (add 2 tsp of baking soda to the milk)
2 cups flour
½ tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350º F. Grease a circle pan.
2. In mixing bowl, mix together the hot water, butter and cocoa powder. Add in the sugar, egg and vanilla. Then add in the dry ingredients and the milk. Mix until combined. The batter will seem runny, this is normal.
3. Pour into prepared dish and bake for approx. 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool and serve with your favourite frosting.
