Corn Meal Crust
2-1/2 cups of cold water
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp chili powder
1-1/4 cup of Albers yellow corn meal

Pronto Tamale Pie Filling
1-3/4 cups of chili con carne
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup (2-1/4 ounce can)1/2 cup corn
1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

Corm Meal Crust
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until quite thick and stiff, about 10 minutes, stiring frequently. Reserve 3/4 cup. Line sides and bottom of buttered 1-1/2 quart casserole with rest of mixture.
Pronto Tamale Pie Filling
Combine all ingredients, except cheese, in saucepan. Heat over medium heat. Pour into casserole. Top with rounded tablespoons of remaining crust mixture. Bake in a moderate oven (350º F) about 30 minutes.
