Directions:Using your Insta pot or rice cooker, place sorted and rinsed beans in pot. Add in 6 cups of water and teaspoon of baking powder and cook on the 20 minute setting. (On mine it is the chicken setting).
Remove beans from Insta pot and strain. Add drained beans back to Insta pot. Add “cook with” ingredients to pot and stir to combine. Add water to just under covering ingredients. Use the bean or lentil setting on your Insta pot
Add additional ingredients to the pot for the side dish version. Combine well and transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. |

Notes: Work in progress. Will update as we continue to tweak. Note to self: next attempt; use the chicken setting (20 minute) for both cooks. Beans did not hold their shape. Grandma beans have a cooked but firm texture. These mushed when stirring ingredients and resemble refried beans.
