1 c. unsalted butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond
1 egg
2 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF

1. Cream butter and sugar until smooth (at least 3 minutes).

2. Beat in extracts and egg.

3. Mix dry ingredients in separate bowl.

4. Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.

5. Continue mixing the dough until it pulls away fronm the sides of the mixer. If it looks crumbly, keep mixing 30 seconds - 1 minute. If it is too dry or stiff, wet your hands and mix by hand, or add flour as needed. DO NOT CHILL THE DOUGH.

6. Roll out the dough about 1/4" thick on to a floured surface, then use cookie cutters to cut out cookies and put on a baking sheet.

8. Bake for 6-8 minutes if using small cutters, and 8-9 minutes if using large cutters.

9. Cool on sheet.
