2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
½ c. butter, softened
½ c. vegetable shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 T. milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract

½ c. coconut flakes
½ c. craisins or raisins
⅔ c. mini pretzels, coarsely crushed (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In a large bowl beat together butter/shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs. Stir in milk and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips, oatmeal, nuts, coconut, raisins/craisins and pretzels. You can add any left overs when cleaning out your cupboards (mixed nuts, potato chips, dates, etc.) in place of some of the other ingredients. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheets.

Bake cookies until golden brown, 11 to 12 minutes. Cool completely.

I use 1 cup Crisco flavored butter in place of softened butter and vegetable shortening.
