Directions:
Cream crisco and sugar together. Add eggs, beat until thick and creamy. Dissolve yeast in warm milk. Add to mixture. Beat in mashed potatoes with electric mixer. Add flour (add a little more if dough is sticky) and salt. Put in a greased bowl and cover. Refrigerate overnight.

Divide dough into 6 portions. Roll out on floured board. Spread dough with soft oleo, walnuts then enough sugar and cinnamon to cover. Roll up each one. Pinch ends together. Place on greased cookie sheet (2 per sheet pan). Cover and let raise 1 hour. Beat an egg and brush on top of each nut roll. Poke holes in nut rolls with a fork before baking so they don’t crack. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes or until brown.

Grandma Wilk’s nut rolls were the best! They were so delicious and always picture perfect. She also made her cinnamon rolls using this sweet dough recipe.
