3 T bacon drippings, butter, or oil
2 c buttermilk
1 t soda
1 t salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 c yellow cornmeal

Directions:

Over 400º
Oil in 10 inch cast iron skillet and put in oven.
Mix buttermilk and soda and stir well.
Add salt, eggs, cornmeal and mix thoroughly.
Pour into heated skillet and bake for 25 minutes
