Ingredients:
Ingredients:
5 Large Eggs, Separated
1 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 Karo Corn Syrup
1/2 Pint Whipping Cream
1 Pint Half and Half
1 can Carnation Evaporated Milk
1 to 2 Tablespoons Vanilla
1 quart Whole Milk
1 Box of Rock Salt for Ice Cream Freezer
1 Large bag of Ice or 3 small ones

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the Egg Whites until Stiff; Gradually add Sugar beating until dissolved. This may take several minutes make sure sugar dissolves. Add next five ingredients including egg yolks. I like to mix the egg yokes with a little bit of the whole milk to make sure they mix up well. Just ask Carrie Sallie what happens when you don't mix up the egg yokes! LOL. Its a Grandma Spence story!! Mix well with electric hand mixer.

Add ice cream mixture to a large homemade Ice Cream freezer. Make Ice Cream according to freezer instructions. Use plenty of rock salt!!!

Rinse out wooden cannister when done !! and by all means DO NOT USE A Plastic Freezer!!! I have had bad luck with them and Grandma Spence said never use one!!!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is one of those times you have to try several times before you get the hang of it but definitely worth it. If the Ice Cream doesn't freeze up make a peach cobbler to pour the unfrozen ice cream over! Ask Uncle Tommy!! He likes it, but he will eat anything!
