3 CUPS self-rising flour
3 fingers worth of Crisco
approx. 1 CUP of milk

mix and knead flour and Crisco until shortening is crumbled in the flour
slowly add milk until a medium sticky consistency
roll out onto a floured surface
cut out biscuits with cutter or jar rim like mamaw always did.
bake at 350º for about 18-20 minutes
broil until tops are golden brown
enjoy
