Cake**
2 c. Sugar
2 c. Flour
1 tsp. Baking soda
2 tsp. Cinnamon
2 Stick of butter
4 T. Cocoa
1 c. Boiling water
½ c. Buttermilk
2 Beaten eggs
½ tsp. Vanilla

Frosting**
1 stick of butter
4 tsp. cocoa
6 T. buttermilk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
½ c. chopped pecans

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400º. Sift dry ingredients. In a sauce pan, melt butter, cocoa, and boiling water. Add to dry ingredients. Mix with a spoon. Add buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well. Pour on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool cake.

Melt butter, add cocoa, buttermilk, and bring to a boil. Add powdered sugar. Mix in mixer and add vanilla. Spread quickly.

This was the cake that grandma was asked to make more than any other. I am pretty sure she got the recipe from the school. Berryhill used to serve a chocolate sheet cake in the cafeteria and I am certain it was this one. She used to make it at the daycare sometimes too. It's the cinnamon that makes it so good.
