Sour Cream Banana Cake Recipe

1/2 stick of oleo
1 1/3 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 c sour cream
1 c mashed bananas
1/2 c. nuts

In mixing bowl cream butter, gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients, and add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredeints. Add bananas and nuts mixing just until blended. Turn into greased 13x9 pan. Bake for 40-45 minutes 350.

Frosting: 1/2 c. oleo, 3/4 c. brown sugar, 3/4 c. light cream or can milk, 3/4 c. coconut and nuts. In qt. saucepan melt butter, mix in brown sugar, cream and coconut. Spread on warm cake. Broil until coconut is browned.
