2 C flour
2 C sugar
2 tsp. soda
¼ tsp. salt
½ C Cocoa
1 C oil
1 C buttermilk
1 C boiling water
2 eggs


Caramel Frosting:
½ C butter
1 C brown sugar
¼ C milk
3 ½ C powdered sugar

Cake:

Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Then add the oil, buttermilk, boiling water, and eggs. Beat until smooth.

Pour batter in 9 X 13 greased and floured pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.


Frosting:

Melt butter and mix in brown sugar. Let boil; stir for 1 minute until smooth. Let cool slightly, then add milk, and beat until smooth. Add powdered sugar and mix until frosting is of a spreading consistency.
