1 lb ground beef, browned
1 envelope onion soup mix
1/2 c water
1 head lettuce
2 chopped tomatoes
1 sliced onion
1 c chopped black olives
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 bag large Frito chips, such
Sour cream to garnish
as scoops or dippers

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the beef, add soup mix and water. Simmer 2 minutes. Assemble lettuce, tomato, onion, and black olives in a large bowl. Right before serving add meat, cheese and chips. Toss well. Garnish each serving with dollop of sour cream. Taco sauce may be added on top if desired. Can be made in double batches for larger gatherings.

This is similar to taco salad, but has an interesting taste difference. For a really good dressing, mix taco sauce with Western Dressing.
