1 empty (and clean) mayo jar
1 cucumber, peeled and sliced
1 white onion
apple cider vinegar
salt

Peel one large cucumber and slice. Chop a half of a white onion. Put both in the jar. Fill jar with a 3:1 apple cider to vinegar ratio. Add 1 tsp. salt. Refrigerate for a minimum of 3 days.

My grandmother used to regularly make pickled cucumbers for our Sunday dinners. It was one of my favorites. This recipe is how I remember her making them, so it may not be exact.
