Cream Cheese Pastry:
1 cup un-sifted Flour
½ cup unsalted Butter, softened
3 oz. Cream Cheese, softened
¼ tsp. Salt

Pecan Filling:
1 Egg, lightly beaten
½ cup Golden Syrup or dark Corn Syrup
⅓ cup dark brown Sugar, packed
2 Tbs. unsalted Butter, melted
1 tsp. Vanilla
pinch Salt
1 cup or (4oz) Pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
2. Blend together pastry ingredients until you have a dough. Press and shape into a muffin tins. Work the dough all the way up the sides and try to keep it thick enough so the filling can't get through.
3. Mix all the filling ingredients together, then spoon mixture into pastry-lined tins coming almost all the way up to the top of the pastry .
4. Bake for 25-30 mins until filling is set but center is still soft.
5. Let tarts cool then loosen the sides carefully with a knife and pop them out.
