1- 64 oz. jug fresh apple cider
1/4 cup pure maple syrup (or brown sugar)
1 whole orange - including peel- cut in 8ths
1 whole lemon, - including peel- cut in 4ths.
3-4 sticks cinnamon
1 tsp. whole allspice

1/2 cup fresh cranberries, cut in half (opt.)

extra cinnamon sticks and thin slice of orange or apple for serving.
Alcoholic- 3/4 cup Makers Mark

Directions:
Directions:
In large kettle, add cider, sweetener, spices and fruits. Slowly bring to a boil, and immediately turn down to low and simmer for 30 minutes or more.

Strain if desired and ladle into mugs and garnish w/ apple or lemon slice and a cinnamon stick.

If you want alcohol in cider, add 1-2 T. Makers Mark to each mug of cider or add 3/4 - 1 cup MM to the cider and heat through just before serving.

I never really have a set amount/number of spices- sometimes just cinnamon Stix and sometimes just use all citrus zest instead of whole fruit.
