Baked Pie Shell (can be bought or made)

1 cup flour
¾ cup sugar
1½ cups boiling water
3 beaten egg yolks
Juice from 3 or 4 lemons (to taste)
1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp milk

Directions:
Directions:
In the top of a double boiler, stir together flour and sugar. Add boiling water and stir well. Cook mixture until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add egg yolks, lemon juice, butter and milk. Pour into prepared crust and top with meringue and bake at 250º until meringue browns.

Combine egg whites and cream of tartar. Beat until soft peaks form. Fold in sugar, one spoonful at a time,
