1 Stick of butter
3 - 4 Gala apples
1/2 to 1 c Brown sugar
Ground cinnamon
(Granny Gran never measured anything)

Directions:
Directions:
Core and slice apples (skin optional).

Over medium heat, melt butter in skillet. Mix in brown sugar until dissolved and thoroughly mixed.

Add apple slices to skillet. Stir to coat apples in butter and brown sugar.

Add cinnamon to taste (Granny Gran said you can never have too much cinnamon).

Turn heat down to low. COVER and let apples simmer. Stir occasionally. Apples are ready when soft.

Eat while still warm. **Also, delicious over vanilla ice cream**
