2 cups sifted flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp baking soda
¼ cup vegetable oil
¾ cup buttermilk
½ cup butter
¾ cup brown sugar ( white sugar may also be used)
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º
Combine the dry ingredients in a medium bowl and mix well.
Stir in oil. Add buttermilk just until blended.
Knead dough on a lightly floured surface til smooth.
Roll into a 15x8 rectangle.
Spread butter over the dough and sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon mixture on top.
Roll up the rectangle jelly roll fashion starting from one long side and pinch seam to seal.
Cut roll in 1½ inch slices and arrange the slices cut side up on a baking sheet. I use parchment paper or a silicone baking mat on the sheet.
