4 cups packed tightly of fresh basil
1 cup kosher salt

Directions:

Heat oven to 425 degrees

Use a food processor and combine salt and basil and grind until you have a light green paste in the food processor

Spread the paste thinly on a cookie sheet and place in oven

Here come the tricky part:
Place cookie sheet into oven set timer for 15 minutes
Flip the paste over and return to oven for an additional 15 minutes. Repeat this process until the paste become dry with no appearance of moisture.

Place the dried paste in food process or and grind again

Place back on cookie sheet and bake an additional 10 minutes
Process it once more in the food processor. Then store in a glass air tight container in your refrigerator . Enjoy

We use this salt on everything. Here is a list of what you can use it for:

* Roasted vegetables
* Salmon fillets
* Chicken
* Steak
* Pork chops or ribs
* Popcorn
*Buttered noodles and rice

And just about what ever you like! I make one batch in the fall every yer after i harvest my plants and use it until the following fall when its time to do it again!
