Crust
2 cups crushed pretzels
1⁄2 cup butter, melted
3 tablespoons white sugar
Almond flour (optional)

Whipped layer
1 8oz brick cream cheese
1 cup confectioners sugar (or a little more - to taste)
1 tsp almond extract OR Frangelica
1 tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt

Filling (or topping depending how you see it…)
3-5 tsp sugar to your taste or liking
1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
1 tsp almond extract OR Frangelica
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°

Crust:
Mix together pretzels, melted butter, and sugar in a medium bowl; press into the bottom of an 8 x 8 inch baking dish (or foil pan) [ I line with parchment paper - leaving enough on sides to use as ‘handle’ to remove from dish..]
Note here: if the crust still looks wet - add some almond flour to ensure solid enough to bake
Bake crust until lightly browned 10-15 mins
Let cool while making next steps

Whipped layer
Whip together: cream cheese, vanilla almond extract, salt and confectioners' sugar in a large bowl. (Taste and add more sugar if you like on the sweeter side).

Cherry topping
Place 21oz can good quality cherry pie filling. Gently fold in white sugar and remaining extracts. (Taste and add more sugar if you like on the sweeter side).


Spread whipped layer over cooled crust then Cover evenly with cherry pie filling. Refrigerate due to cream cheese.
