Cherry Cobbler Recipe

Mix well:
¼ cup butter
½ cup sugar

Sift in small bowl:
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt

Add flour mixture to butter
& sugar, alternating with
½ cup milk

Stir until well blended.
Pour into a greased 8x8x2 pan

Add 2 cans tart cherries, including juice.
(I use Oregon Brand Red Tart Cherries.)

Sprinkle ½ cup sugar over the top of the cherries.

Bake in 375º oven for 45 minutes or until slightly browned and top springs back when lightly touched.
