Sugar in the Raw

Directions:
Directions:
in 9x13 baker spray with non stick spray (I use butter flavor crisco)
roll out one can of pillsbury Crescent rolls pinching together the perforated edges
in mixing bowl add cream cheese (I usually microwave for 45 seconds to soften so it spreads easier) then add 2 teaspoons vanilla, 1/2 cup sugar and egg yolk (save the white) mix together and spread over crescent roll base. Use other can of Crescent rolls and lay across the top of mixture. use egg white to brush across top I usually don't have pastry brush and just use my hands to spread and coat the top with egg white then dust white sugar over the top of egg white
cook at 350º for 30 min

Serve warm with sliced strawberries coated in Sugar in The Raw

Personal Notes:
I make this every Christmas morning served warm my mother use to make Cinnamon Rolls and they were wonderful but I have never managed to make a good batch and these are way faster so I can enjoy time with my children on Christmas morning.
