1 (8 oz.) pkg, macaroni
4 T. butter
4 T. flour
1 c. milk
1 c. cream
1/2 t. salt
pepper to taste
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c. buttered breadcrumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º

Cook and drain macaroni and set aside.

In large pan, melt butter and add flour mixed with the salt and pepper, (using a whisk) until well blended.

Pour milk and cream in, gradually, stirring constantly for 10 minutes.

Add shredded cheese little by little and simmer an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese melts.

Remove from heat, add macaroni to the pan and toss to coat with cheese sauce and transfer to buttered baking dish.

Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and bake 20 minutes until top is golden brown.
