Personal Notes:
One year, I made these just to have for dessert. They baked too long and didn't come out soft and chewy like they normally did. But I didn't realize it at the time. The Linger's and Jones' came by to sing Christmas carols on our doorstep. After they were done, we bagged up some of these cookies for them and sent them on their way. It wasn't until they left that I ate one, and it was so hard. :( So, Christmas morning, I made up a whole new batch and delivered to them. These ones were GOOD. Little did I know, Jim's grandma used to make these and always cooked them for too long. So for him, this brought back many memories and was happy to eat the original cookies that were over baked. Haha.
