5 C flour
2 C shortening
1 Tbsp salt
1 C ice cold water
1 egg
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, shortening, and salt to a course crumb.

Get a one cup measuring cup and add the egg and apple cider vinegar. Fill the rest with ice cold water. (Won't take the whole cup of water.) Add to flour mixture & mix with a fork or pie mixer until well mixed. Separate into 4 equal parts. Flour your working station and roll out one part to desired thickness. Put in pie pan. Pierce the bottom and sides with a fork to avoid bubbling.

If just making a shell, it makes 4. Bake at 425 degrees for 45 minutes.

If making a pie with a shell and a top, this recipe makes 2. Follow the baking instructions from the pie filling.
