For the Soup:

1 Small Chicken
3 Gallons of water
2 large onions
3-4 cloves of garlic
1 28 oz can of whole plum tomatoes
4 -5 stalks of celery
6 Carrots
Parsley
Salt, pepper and Italian seasoning
3 TBSP of chicken base

For the MB:

1 Lb of ground beef
1 Lb of ground pork
1/2 cup of bread crumbs
2 eggs
salt, pepper, grated cheese and Italian seasoning to taste

For the soup:

In a large pot put all the ingredients and bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer

Allow to cook for 2-3 hours, removing fat that rises to the top

After chicken is cooked remove it from the pot and allow it to cool

Puree all the vegetables in the pot and let it cook for 1 more hour

Shred the chicken and add it back to the soup


For the MB:

Mix all ingredients in a bowl

Bring a large pot of water to a boil

Drop 1 inch diameter MB into the boiling water repeat until no meat is left

Drain the water and add the MB to the soup

Serve with any small size pasta
