3/4 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. milk
1 1/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. flour
1/2 c milk (to be added to the flour)
4 beaten egg yolks (save the whites to make meringue)
2 T butter
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the sugar in an iron skillet. Pour in 3 1/2 c. milk and let caramelize. Note: sugar hardens when you pour in milk so let it melt. Mix 1 1/3 c. of sugar and 2/3 c. flour and 1/2 c. milk & 4 beaten egg yolks. Make a paste. Add to milk mixture & cook until thick and it balls good.(About 5 minutes. Add butter & vanilla. Pour into 2 baked pie shells and cover with meringue. Bake at 400º for 8-10 minutes.
