Ingredients:  
2 Packages dry yeast and 1/4 Cup water to soften yeast
Combine 3/4 Cup Scalded Milk, 1/3 Cup Sugar, 1 1/2 tsp Salt, 1/4 Cup Melted Shortening. Cool mixture until lukewarm. Then add 1 1/2 Cup Flour, 1 Beaten Egg and yeast. Then add another 2 Cups Flour.
Rest for 10 minutes, then knead for 5 minutes. Raise until double size, punch down. Rise another 10 minutes. Roll out bread and rise for 1 hour. Cut for doughnuts and bake.
