3 ½ cups (16 ounces) whole, raw nuts (pecans, cashews, hazelnuts, almonds)
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons virgin coconut oil, melted (or olive oil)
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon fine sea salt
⅛ teaspoon cayenne (optional)

1. Preheat the oven to 350º. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, combine the nuts, maple syrup, and oil. Sprinkle the turmeric, cinnamon, salt, and cayenne (if using), over top and toss to coat evenly.

3. Spread the nuts on the baking sheet and roast in the center of the oven for 8 to 12 minutes, stirring every 4 minutes, until the nuts turn slightly darker.

4. Allow to cool completely and then store in a glass jar. Enjoy them as a snack or add to any salad.
