Directions:Preheat the oven to 400º
Place the thawed crust in a pie pan. Use a fork to poke holes in the bottom. Par-bake until a light golden brown, then take it out and let it cool.
In a mixing bowl - pour 1 ¾ cup milk, add the box mix, and beat on medium speed with a hand mixer. The mixture will be thin but that's how it's supposed to look. Then fold in about ⅔ of the tub of Cool Whip into the mixture. Blend.
Pour the blend into the cooled pie pan. Then place it in the refrigerator to chill for one hour. It should set up nicely.
Once it sets up, spread the remainder of the Cool Whip over the top of the pie.
Finally, slice as many bananas as your heart desires and place them lovingly on top of the pie in a decorative manner. (That's how I picture Grandma doing it.)

Notes: Grandma's pie was a favorite of mine. She would make two at a time and bring them to gatherings. As a kid, I assumed she slaved over a hot stove or spent hours in the kitchen making them. Only later in my adult years, did I realize how super easy they are to make.
Important note - Plan on sharing with 7 friends or family members because the bananas do go bad and then it looks kind of gross.
Less important note - Sometimes to make it my own, I sprinkle some crushed graham crackers on top. Looks nice and gives it an extra crunch.
