1 cup of butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Dry Ingredients (mix together in separate bowl)
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Cream butter. Add sugar until light and fluffy. Add one egg at a time, beating after each egg. Stir in vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients - add gradually to cream mixture.

Chill 3-4 hours. Bake for 6-8 minutes.
